And TOTALLY redeem yourself...

My moms favorite movie of all time is Dumb and Dumber, which tells you a lot about my family right there. If you know my family you are laughing right now because you know exactly what I am talking about. I couldn't think of a title and that one came to mind. It's my dad's favorite line from the movie and greatly applies to my blog for today. Yesterday I had an awful day! I took Tyler to Walmart and our last walmart trip was so pleasant. This one turned into a trip from hell. I went and got groceries first which was my first mistake. I thought we were gonna be okay without looking at the toys. When Tyler started getting tired he got really whinny and cranky. He started crying and begging for toys. I took him to the clearance isle which usually has good toys but they reduced it to a small shelf to make room for all the freaking Christmas stuff. Plus pretty much all the toys were accessories for leap pads and were expensive and didn't apply to us. We finally found something and I headed for the front. I get half way there and Tyler starts freaking out saying he wants a different toy. So I go back switch toys and get half way to the front again when he realizes I switched them and didn't grab BOTH! I don't know what my kids problem was because we never get TWO! He always has to pick ONE. So I go back and switch them again and this goes on about 5 more times to the point where he is crying at the top of his lungs no matter what I did and I am so frustrated I was about to scream. I take him to the front with the one toy and he seems to be okay. He asks for the other toy and I tell him we aren't getting it and he loses it. I'm not talking about crying, I am talking about SCREAMING at the top of his lungs which he has NEVER done before. He was also shaking! It was awful. EVERYONE in Walmart is starring at me. I finally pay for everything and he tries to climb out of the cart and almost falls out. I pull him out of the cart and try and get him to sit while still trying to push because I was trying to get the heck out of there so everyone wasn't staring at me any more. He starts freaking out and I almost drop him. Thank goodness this nice older woman takes my cart and says, "Let me take your cart for you." It was so nice but so embarrassing! My car was ALLLLLL the way on the other side of the parking lot and Tyler screamed the whole way to the car so not only did I get the looks IN Walmart but I also got them OUTSIDE of Walmart. The lady got my cart all the way to my car and then she says, "You are such a wonderful and patient mother" I about started balling right then. I told her thank you so much and I was TRYING to be patient and she looked at me and said, "We've all been there." It was so nice because you KNOW everyone who gives you the looks when your kid is misbehaving has been through it too and its usually the old ladies who give the worst looks. It was so nice to have someone actually tell me that. I get Tyler in the car and I just started balling. He is still crying but had started to calm down. Then he notices that I am crying and gets upset and tells me, "Momma be happy" He hates when I cry. It takes me about 15 minutes to get home and I pretty much cried the whole way home. I call Cody and cry some more and then I am trying to make me some lunch. I was SOOOOO hungry and felt like I was going to pass out or something. I am boiling some water because I was just going to make a box of mac and cheese and right as it is ready for me to pour the noodles in, I knocked over the box with my HUGE pregnant belly! I just started balling again and told Cody I'd call him back. haha So I am on my hands and knees just BALLING on the kitchen floor picking up dry noodles and Tyler comes over and hugs me and says, "I love you momma. I love you." To which I hug him back and say "I love you too Tyler" and then he says, "I want Broccoli carrots!" That's what he likes to eat and I just kind of laughed and said, "Well, your gonna have to wait a minute." The rest of the day wasn't tons better but it didn't get any worse thank goodness.

Today started out a little rough again. First thing I wake up and roll over in bed too far and fall out! haha Then, Tyler was kind of cranky and seeing as though its a Sunday I thought, "Oh help me now he's gonna be a butt again!" Do you know what....he was AWESOME today! He was great during sacrament, he went to nursery without even crying, we stayed the whole time and he even played with some of the other kids! WOO HOO That is why I picked the title, because he TOTALLY redeemed himself! haha We came home and had lunch and took naps and then he hung out with Noah and him and Noah played great together tonight too. It was wonderful and to top it all off, the Lakers won! :) It was a great day...I am hoping tomorrow can be even half as good as today was.

I think that any line from Dumb & Dumber can be applied to daily life. For example, "Harry, I took care of it!" applied to when you're being nagged or something. Your blog nearly made me cry, babe! I don't know how you manage pregnancy hormones and sickness AND a child. You rock, whore! (I had to call you that from your last comment, and it reminds me of being in high school, skank)

My fav. line from Dumb and Dumber: Big gulps, huh?.....Welp, see ya later!
Ah, I should watch that movie again.
Don't worry, we all have shopping trips like that. Any mother would understand. I think my eyes turn red and steam comes out of my ears. You have much more patience than I do.
