New Boots

Tyler got some new boots! I have been wanting to get some new boots since his last pair got to small. It has taken me THIS long to find some that fit him and check it out

They are TOY STORY ONES! YEAH! He LOVES Toy Story so it was PERFECT! And check this out

It says, "ANDY" on the bottom of one of the shoes. How cute is that?!

He is a happy camper!

My new do

What you think? I am LOVING it! It usually takes me a couple of days to get used to a new hair cut and the second this one was done I was comfortable. Yeah for short Mommy hair! haha

Here is the sock monkey I made too.

It took me SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long to do it. Probably between 3 and 4 hours. Tyler was playing with it and one of the seems busted. DOH! So I gotta fix it now. What a bummer. It sure is cute though. Tyler named him George! I said, "Skull monkey George" and he looked at me and said, "How about just George?" haha And he has decided it is HIS monkey now and not Kayla's. I told him it could be both of theirs. We'll see what happens. I SO don't want to have to make another one any time soon. :)

Today at church we were practicing for a program at church the kids are doing. Tyler was supposed to say something about "When I turn 8, I will be baptized" and he heard the wrong and said, "When I get baptized, I will be it!" HAHA It was pretty funny.

Father Son Look A-like

I have had these pictures on my lap top for 3 or 4 months meaning to do this post and just kept putting it off. While Cody was in Germany his brother Kurt gave me some old pictures of Cody. I LOVED how Cody looks SO much like Tyler in some of these pictures. Here we go

And last but not least MY FAVORITE because honestly it could be a picture of Tyler...

Park Fun!

I took my kids to the play ground today! It was SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO beautiful out side. I brought my camera and I am SO happy I did. I went picture crazy and I wanted to share them with you. I have about 30 or so pictures I shrunk to post so I will only post some here and then the rest on my photography web site HERE

It was SUCH a wonderful evening. We were there for about an hour and a half or so. The weather was perfect. It wasn't hot, it wasn't cold and there was a wonderful breeze the whole time we were there. There was also a rainbow that you could barely make out but of course ME, I could see the whole thing and tried to get a picture of it. See if you can make it out.

I know I am a dork but it was awesome. Such a good day with an even better evening. I think an hour or two out side is the best way to get out of a rut! This also happened right after I won mother of the year AGAIN! Poor Kayla has been getting into everything and she is so fast sometimes I BARELY get her before she hurts herself. WELL, today she was quicker then me. She was right by my lap top ( which was on a TV tray...I know, I know...that was a stupid place to have it ) and she was walking out of her pants, lost her balance, grabbed the lap top cord and pulled it on top of her face! It was awful. She cried for about 10 minutes straight. She has two bumps. That is what the huge red mark is on her face in these pictures. At least she was a very smily girl at the play ground and seemed fine. Okay. If you want to see the rest of the pictures ( which I highly recommend haha ) go check out my photography blog. Here's hoping for a great day again tomorrow!

To Craft or Not to Craft

Well guys, I have decided no more crafts...for this blog. This was supposed to be a family blog and lately all I post is crafts I have done. Shame on me. SO, I will be posting all my crafting stuff on my other blog from now on. HERE I will be starting today in fact with a CUTE bag I made yesterday. Here is a preview

If you want to see the purse, check it out later on today. I thought I was going to have time to post right now but I am trying to get to walmart. My fridge is bare! No soda and no juice equals a very unstable household! :)

Black Beans, where have you been all my life!?

My sister came to visit back in July and she brought recipes with her. I have never been much of a bean person. I LOVE nachos though and a lot of times that includes beans so I have gotten used to them over the years as long as they were refried beans. Kim asked if I liked black beans and I had to be honest. I had never tried them because I don't really care for beans. I told her I would try them though since I am always trying to find healthy things to eat instead of the crap i LOVE to eat so much. I am always looking for high fiber foods too which has black beans written all over it. So we made black beans and now I am in LOVE with them. My new favorite meal is chicken and black bean enchiladas! MMMMMMMMMMMM Well today I made a burrito that was so simple yet so wonderful. I still don't care for the texture of beans so what I do is throw them in the blender with a little bit of water. Kim gave me that advice and I LOVE her for it. today I took a can of black beans and washed them off, threw them in the blender and turned it on. BUT first I added a can of rotel! Holy cow it makes them so flavorful and spicy if you like spice in your burritos. Try it and you won't be disappointed. Then just add what ever you want and enjoy. I just did rice, beans, rotel, cheese and olives. MMMM MMMM GOOD!

Lay Off Me I'm Starving

My girl is a fatty! She growls at me if I don't feed her fast enough. Someday I will get a better video of this but this is what I have for now. I took this last night at our favorite Mexican place, El Tapatio. Usually she shakes because she growls so strong. She cracks me up!

Duckie Girl

Photo shoot with my pretty baby girl! One more just because

She did the splits! Just like her Aunt Kimmie...

My Little Cowboy

AIN'T HE HANDSOME!?!

Catching Up ( hopefully )

I am going to be posting pictures and telling stories as I go. Mostly projects but I will try and add some fun stuff too. In fact I will start with a funny story.

Last night we fed the Missionaries from church. We took them to Pizza Hut. Tyler knows Pizza Hut has bouncy balls in a vending machines there. SO he was asking for one the WHOLE time we were eating dinner. He was starting to drive me crazy and we were packing up to go. The missionaries were trying to distract him so I could pay and one of them ask Tyler, "Hey what is your favorite colored ball?" Tyler without skipping a beat yells out, "Blue balls!" I about died and the missionary, after laughing for a minute said, "Sorry, I should have seen that one coming!" haha

And here's some pictures

My little dancer boy! I especially love how he is ALREADY WAY more flexible then his mommy who danced for YEARS! The day after his dance class this week, he wore his dance shoes pretty much all day. Mostly the tap shoes but he did do his ballet shoes for a while too. He LOVES his tap shoes

Kayla eating some food laughing at her brother. This was the same day as Tyler and the tap shoes and she was laughing at him dancing. She sure does love her brother!

Everyone from my family says Kayla reminds them of her Aunt Kimmie. Well Aunt Kimmie crawled into EVERYTHING. One time my mom couldn't find her for like 2 or 3 hours and it turns out she had crawled up into something and was waiting for my mom to find her. haha Well, here is Kayla trying to climb up into the TV stand. Nice.

And here is Kayla half naked, drinking her bottle, cuddled up against daddy's leg on the ground. heehee She loves her daddy too.

Now she is in her dress mommy made her. Ain't she cute in it?!

Here are the shoes I made Kayla. So far they are the only shoes that will NOT come off of her feet. I can't wait to make her new ones. I also am going to make her some boots when I am done making baby shower gifts and birthday presents! :)

This is the Halloween bag I made Tyler. I took pictures along the way and thought about doing a "tutorial" but I decided it would be a lot of work! haha So if anyone is interested let me know. I wanted to make it reversible, so the inside is Thomas the Train fabric.

I like the way it turned out. Too bad he doesn't want to use it and still keeps stealing my purse instead. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

My friend Sarah had a birthday and I made these for her with pictures I had taken of her kids

This seems to be Kayla's favorite toy. She finds it any where it is in the living room.

Our sink was leaking and Tyler "helped" daddy fix it. He was my little plumber!

And lastly...

FABRIC!

I got all this fabric PLUS

THIS for ONLY 5 BUCKS!!!!!!!! I am still so happy about this. One of the pieces had a HUGE permanent marker in the MIDDLE of the fabric. I guess it doesn't matter since it was only like 25 cents. I am still happy with all that I got. Some of it was canvas which is what I used for the bottom of Kayla's shoes. The last roll of fabric by it self was only 5 bucks and it is probably like 3 yards or so and it is REALLY soft flannel stuff. I haven't used it yet. Still trying to decide.

I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many projects going on in my head all the time. One of these days I hope to get at least half of them done!
