Play dates

Tyler and I hang out with our friends Sarah and Julia at least once a week. We hung out with them on Monday for a while and took some cute pictures of the kids. Yesterday we went to Austin and were there all day and then today we went over to Sarah and Julia's for some fun in the sun! Julia got a pool with a slide and the kids played their little hearts out. They loved the pool. So not only did I take over 300 picture yesterday, I also took over 200 today! I'm seriously taking so many pictures these days it's a good thing I'm getting a new lap top with TONS more memory then this one has! haha I thought I'd post even more pictures. They were just too cute to pass up. Enjoy

A day of fun in Austin

Yesterday we left early and drove to Austin. We went to a huge garden to take pictures. My friend Katrina and her boyfriend got engaged on Valentine's day. They wanted me to take engagement pictures for them. Katrina is a photographer as well so in turn, she took some great family ones for us too! YEAH! I love getting good pictures taken. Tyler was being very difficult so we only got a couple but I'll take what I can get. So here are some pictures.

Here are the couple I took of Katrina and Johnny that I really like. I took over 300 pictures yesterday so here are just a couple! haha I took FOREVER to upload them all and to go through them. :)

Here is my favorite family one! I forgot to add it earlier but here it is! I really like it even though Tyler isn't smiling. You win some you lose some!

Going picture CRAZY!!!

So last weekend I was sick and this weekend it's Cody. Boooooo. My poor baby and Tyler woke up last night coughing and choking and I had to go rock him back to sleep. Which actually made my night in a way because I felt like he wasn't AS big as I keep thinking he is. It felt like he was a baby again...well, a 38 pound baby! haha Today while Cody was trying to relax on the couch, Tyler and I went outside and took some more pictures. I got some really good ones today so I made MORE collages. I know, I know.....but they are my new guilty pleasure. They are so much fun to do. Plus, photography has just been making me SOOOOOOOO happy lately. :) SO, alas, here are more collages for you to stare at.

Oh yeah

I wanted to say thank you to those who said they like that I blog a lot. Sometimes I feel like I'm being annoying, which I shouldn't care because it's MY blog. I don't know why I feel self conscious about it but sometimes I do. Glad to know that others enjoy it. Well, all four of you who read these any ways! haha And since you said you like them any ways here's another collage of my artys out side pictures. One's a repeat but I think the other 3 are new ones.

Fridays

Every Friday night is the same for us. Cody gets home from work, we take Tyler to the play ground ( or the PG as we like to call it ) and then met Stacie, Madison and Kurt ( if he is feeling up to it ) at El Tapatio. It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo good. It's just this hole in the wall Mexican restaurant in our town but it is just so yummy. We actually went there for dinner on Tuesday night too! haha Once when I was pregnant we went there for breakfast. They actually have two of them in our little town and both of them are always packed! That's how good it is. So any ways. We went there for breakfast then we hung out with Kurt, Stacie and Madison and they suggested we go there for a late lunch/early dinner. Cody and I were down for that because we loved it but we suggested we go to the one just on the other side of town since we had gone to the other one that morning. We figured then we didn't have to feel dumb going into the same place twice in the same day! Boy were we wrong. Not only did we feel dumb enough for going there twice in the same day, we had the SAME waitress! haha NO JOKE. She must have worked the morning shift at one and then gone to the other one for the afternoon.

Any ways. Tonight I took a couple of pictures after wards of us playing in the parking lot because that for the kids is the funniest part.

Daddy's present

This is the present I made for my dad. I really like how it turned out and it only ended up taking me an hour or so to do it. Man I have been a craft freak lately! I guess thats what happens when you don't do them for so long.

I know, I know...

I have gone blog crazy lately but we have just been taking lots of pictures and I finally had some time today to put them on my lap top and do things with them. I know every parent thinks there kid is the cutest so I guess it's normal for me to want to show everyone the cute pictures I take of him. Lately he has been SO into putting on daddy's shoes ( and sometimes mommy's heels but SHHHHH! Don't tell ) I took some pictures of him wearing Cody's boots and I think they are just the cutest pictures because he put his hat on too! Hope you enjoy them. I also made my dad a present for his 60th birthday coming up in May and I LOVE how it turned out! So I will post pictures of that later on tonight or early tomorrow.

We are very excited because Cody just ordered him and I new lap tops. Mine has been giving me so much trouble lately that I just want to throw it out the window. I am SO excited to get my new one. Plus Cody ordered a photo editing software for it too! WOO HOO! Also we ordered a new sink for our bathroom and it came today! I can't WAIT to get that done either. :)

Pictures

I took Tyler outside today to play in the water. It was fun and that way we got out of the house for a little bit. I was taking pictures of just some random things. I saw a puddle of water and the sun was shinning off of the reflection. I remembered I have a filter that is supposed to make light look like stars. I have been DYING to use it and just haven't had the opportunity. Usually the filter is used for night time pictures like cityscapes. I decided to try it out and I LOVE how it turned out. Here are a couple of the pictures I took.

Yikes

Tyler has decided over the last couple of weeks that swinging on swings is his new passion and that's ALL he wants to do when we go to the park. Then he started closing his eyes when we were swinging him. I guess it feels cooler that way. I never really thought any thing of it. It's nice because when he is swinging I have his attention and we usually count backwards and forward to 20 and also go over the alphabet, plus I always do his sign language and have him tell me what I am signing. For instance today while he was swinging I saw a truck and I said "Red truck" and I signed red. Then he said "white truck" and signed white. I kind of ignored him but he kept signing white. Finally I turned around and there was a white truck right next to the red one! haha So then I started getting bored after the first 30 minutes of swinging and he didn't want to get down. I called my sister and started talking to her. Tyler was closing his eyes and I kept saying "TYler" and he would smile or something. Finally I started to worry because he wasn't responding. I told my sister that I thought he was asleep. I stopped his swing and couldn't get him to open his eyes. Then he threw up! Yeah, he had given himself motion sickness from closing his eyes! So it was an interesting trip to the play ground. I took some cute pictures that I wanted to post because you can see how happy he was before he lost his lunch! haha Then the last picture you can see how it's taken effect. :) Cody came to the rescue and brought us napkins! Thank goodness because I didn't have any wipes in my purse. DOH!

My newest

I took some pictures of Tyler yesterday while we were playing out side in the yard. I made this little collage with three of them. I think it came out great. I like how it looks like Tyler is a Giant picking the tiny flower. :)

Tyler had some interesting outfits today!

We went to dinner so he put a shirt on but kept the boots with the shorts. Ty's favorite part of going to eat is playing in the parking lot afterwards. The picture of the three of us isn't the best but i figured it was a picture of all of us so hey...enjoy!

Being Crafty

I have had the urge a lot lately to be crafty! I started making coasters about a month ago and never finished them. Then about two weeks ago or so I finally made the last two. Now whenever I remember, I put another layer of the glaze over them. I wanted to share them with you because I think they turned out really cute!

Also, I bought some shadow boxes on friday and they ended up being too small for what I wanted to do. So Saturday I begged Cody to take me to Big Lots so I could try and find some more. Heehee. I LOVE Big Lots! I could spend hundreds of dollars there if I wanted too. Any ways. I found two shadow boxes that were only 5 bucks each so I got them. I have been wanting to put Tyler's hosiptal shirt and beanie in a shadow box. I did this yesterday and I really like how it turned out except the one looks a little boring with a white back ground. So sometime in the next couple of days I am going to make a new background for it so it isn't quite so plain. With the other shadow boxes I bought that weren't big enough I made something else. I had also been wanting to put one of tyler's first books in a shadow box. Tyler was obsessed with eating his books when he was little. We thought it was so funny. So I saved the cover of his favorite one and you can see just how much he chewed it. It was a good thing we had it memorized because on some pages he had chewed the words off! haha He's a crazy boy but I love him. So he are those.

S I C K

I HATE being sick...I thought maybe it was just the weather change. Then I thought, maybe it's just allergies. This morning I woke up with a fever and there was no way I was going to church. I text messaged Stacie and asked if she could teach my primary class and she agreed. It turned out okay because no one from my class showed up! haha But I have felt awful all day. I will start to feel better for an hour and then all of the sudden it all hits again. I hate it. Not that there is any one out there who loves being sick but I just thought I would say it. Thank goodness for hubbies because I would not have made it through the day without Cody. He kept Tyler entertained and tried in any way he could to help me out. Thanks Cody, you're awesome and I love you. Tyler was actually really good today too. He hasn't been taking his naps though because the second I put him down he poops! Its so frustrating so I am trying to get him on a new schedule. Grrrr. I just had to say I was really grateful for our safety though. Friday night at about 1 I came out and slept on the couch because between my sore throat and constant stomach pains, and Cody starting to snore and then stopping ( he isn't feeling super well either ) I was not getting any sleep in our room. By the time I fell back asleep I must have knocked out hard because at about 3:30 in the morning a drunk driver ran the stop sign doing about 80 on my street and lost control of her car and hit the car across the street from us. It was a brand new truck she hit and was still going so fast when she hit it that she pushed it into their other fairly new car and then into their garage. It could have easily gone the other way. she could have hit Cody's car which was just to the left. That would have been bad. Not only was this woman drunk BUT ( and this saddens and sickens me ) she had her 2 year old daughter in the car with her and she wasn't in a car seat! WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE. I guess as the police were taking her away she kept saying, "Please don't take my baby away" and the police officer told her she should have thought about that before she got behind the wheel drunk! So any ways. I'm grateful that we were watched over and taken care of Friday night. Even if I am sick and miserable, we didn't lose Cody's car and possible mine to a drunk driver. I feel pretty lucky and I am proud that Tyler has parents that take care of him. That's all for now...

A little disappointing

Isn't it weird how you can know someone for a long time and not really know them? I say this because someone sent me a e-mail for a recipe exchange. I thought, "Sweet! I could use all the recipes I can get!" So far I have only gotten two back and neither of them are something I will ever use. One kind of shocked me because the person who sent it to me has known me for at least 5 or 6 years. I mean, we're not close but we have known each other and kept in touch. She sent me a recipe for beer bread. I thought everyone, even those who have only known me for like, two minutes, knew that I didn't drink. Maybe she just forgot but it kind of threw me for a loop.

While I am here though I have got to tell you another random thing Tyler did today. While he was supposed to be taking a nap he was finally starting to calm down ( this usually take any where from 20 minutes to an hour for him to fall asleep ). He noticed he was almost asleep and basically started talking about anything and everything he could think of. All of the sudden he started fake crying which was entertaining enough for me but then out of no where he says, "Faker, faker." HAHA I couldn't believe he was fake crying and then calling himself a faker. I have a feeling a stuff animal was involved. I keep telling Cody I want to put the video camera in his room and tape him while he is supposed to be sleeping to see what he is doing. Just hearing the things he say is funny enough but sometimes I hear noses and think, "What the heck is he doing?" One of these days I might have a very entertaining video clip on here on him doing something incredibly weird while supposed to be taking a nap. Yesterday I took picture of him in his daddy's steel toe boots. he was wearing them pretty much all day! It was cute. I'll add those later. If I ever get a good recipe from the recipe exchange I'll add that as well. If anyone is interested in a home made wheat pizza dough, I made some last night and I thought it was really good. Just let me know.

Awwwww

Tyler has been talking in his sleep a little bit tonight. Just now while Cody and I were watching American Idol we all of the sudden heard Tyler say, "I love Blue's Clues" Awwwww....even in his sleep he loves that show.

After thought...

After I posted, My Little MONK, I noticed that he has the crayons lined up in order of color too! haha OH DEAR

My little MONK

Tyler got new crayons on Friday while we were at Walmart. Usually by Sunday they would have been mostly broken and ALL of the papers would be riped off! We are actully doing really well this time. When we first took them home, he pulled them all out of the box and lined them up on the couch. I thought that was so funny. Tyler is our little Monk. If you watch that TV show you know what I mean. He peanut butter sandwiches every day for lunch and he gets peanut butter all over his hands! He loves peanut butter but instead of licking it off like a normal kid, he always run over and has me wipe it off of him! Haha He does stuff like this constantly. If things are different, he will notice. For instance I was in the bathroom the other day and he came running in and said something to me and then ran out of the room. Out of the corner of his eye, while he was running out of the bathroom giggling, he noticed the bath mat had been folded up in the corner. He actually stopped running, turned around and fixed the mat! Then turned around and ran off. He nuts! So here are some pictures of his crayons because I thought it was so cute. Also, the last picture is a picture I took on Saturday that I thought turned out really cute of him and Cody TRYING to fly a kite! We never got it up in the air but we had fun trying.

Birthday party

Today was Tyler's girlfriends birthday party! She was turning 2. Her mom and I met on myspace of all places and have become really god friends. She decided the keep the party small and so she only invited us over. It was fun. Both the kids were kind of cranky and each cried at least 3 or 4 times! haha But they still had lots of fun and got to run around. Tyler balled when we left. He loves playing with Julia! I took a million pictures and SOOOOO many of them turned out cute but here are a couple of the really REALLY cute ones.
