Girly Girl

My girl hasn't been much of a girly girl. All of the sudden she has been getting more into girly things...especially if mom says, "OHHHH PREEETY!" She REALLY likes that. My friend asked me to make a tutu for her to give one of her friends daughters. I got out the one I made Kayla when she was a baby to look at it and she saw it and got all excited. I put it on over her PJ's and she was SO excited. Then I gave her some Peanut Butter on a spoon and she was LOVING life!

Kayla and I have been having fun with my camera! Too bad it is SO hard to get good pictures in my house because it is SO dark. We played on the bed. She is SO funny because she will lay down an pretend to be asleep by snoring. She doesn't actually close her eyes, just snores!

Can you believe all of that hair! I swear it grows an inch a week! She loves playing peek-a-boo too!

I love this picture and I so wish it wasn't so grainy!

Where is Tyler when all this is going on? Apparently he is trying on my shoes!

"Mom, do these shoes make my butt look big?"

"Nope Tyler! That huge pull up does!" He NEVER wears these shorts but I made him where them because our air conditioner was having issues and I didn't want him to get hot at night. HAHA

And now for the BEST sibling picture I could get of the two of them

Pathetic, I know. And I call myself a photographer!

One more dose of Kayla sucking her thumb looking so cute.

This is one of her favorite spots in the house!

Scooter Love

Tyler wanted skates REALLY bad. We were gonna get him the ones that slip on over your shoes as a starter. They are under 20 bucks. He had been begging me and one day I said, "We need to go to Walmart but how about we buy skates today!?" he was SO excited!! We get there and I read the box. They only go up to a size 12 and Tyler's latest shoes are a 13. DOH! Also, max weight was 45 pounds. Not a problem for most 4 year olds. However, I do not have a normal sized 4 year old. he had weighted himself the night before we went to bed. He was 54 pounds. SIGH

he was VERY sad we couldn't get the skates. Mommy and Daddy talked it over and decided to try a scooter. He had said he wanted one of those too but it took a little convincing. we went to Target and picked one out,. I didn't really want him doing it without a helmet. Cody didn't really want him doing it without pads. We got both. So basically 80 dollars later, he had a helmet, pads and a scooter. The skates were only 18. We got suckered!

We got home and he put all his equipment on and I asked to get a picture ( I don't know if y'all know this but I like to take the occasional picture ) So the flash goes off because are house is horribly dark and he blinked.

"Tyler you blinked can I get another one?" This time he blinks on purpose. For some reason he thought I WANTED him to blink. Sigh

But third times a charm right?
"Tyler can you PLEASE keep your eyes open?"

Oh how he mocks me with those HUGE open eyes. Oh well. And here is one with Kayla trying to climb on too and Daddy attaching the bell that came with the helmet

And one more of my little/big man about to go out on the street for the first time.

The the helmet has been really popular around here. And pretty much EVERY time one of the kids puts it on by themselves, it is back wards.

She is my cool girl!

PS Before posting this I was showing Tyler. Without saying ANYTHING about him having his eyes closed in the pictures he says, "I just think the flash is really bright!" haha OPPS

Corpus Christi

I didn't think the beach in Corpus Christi was gonna be as awesome as it was. Technically, we didn't go to the beach at Corpus. We went to Padre Island and then drove to the National Shore Line and went to the beach there. It was SO pretty. Check out how gorgeous it was

These were all taking at the national shore line. The only down side to going there was all the jelly fish

Poor Tyler got stung by one! He wore a shirt the whole rest of the time we were there.

And you can't take anything with you. Tyler REALLY wanted to bring home this feather

and some shells

Other then that, it was REALLY nice. The water was warm and the waves were really small. It was perfect!

More clips

More water clips

Vacation

I took a couple of video clips while on vacation. This was Kayla's first time to the beach and she LOVED it! I mean absolutely loved it. She loved the sand, the water, the birds, the freedom...everything. Tyler loved it too until he got stung by a jelly fish! BOOOOOOOOOOOO I don't think he will watch the jelly fish episodes of Sponge Bob the same way ever again! Stupid jelly fish...

Any ways. Here are a couple of video clips of Kayla playing in the water until I can get the pictures all shrunk to put on here. I know video clips are annoying sometimes so I hope you will enjoy these. PS check out how red her hair is looking with all the sun

Just Like Aunt Kimmie

When my sister was about Kayla's age she crawled up inside of something and hide from my mom. My poor mother looked for her for an hour or two and FINALLY found her. If I had the picture I would post it.

Today I glanced into Tyler's room to see what she was doing and found this

Just chilling reading a book in a REALLY cramped space. HAHA Silly girl. She smile for me once she realized I was taking pictures

Trouble with taking pictures of your kids doing naughty things is that now she keeps crawling up there. Grrrrrrrr.

Kinda hard to be mad at that face though! haha
