HOT MOMMA

Okay so I am not a HUGE country fan but I do enjoy some of it. I always like Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw. I always liked the Dixie Chicks as well. I love 'love' songs and thats what most of country songs are about. Some, however, are very lame. My sister Kristy made me a mixed CD and she put a country song on it. At first when I heard it I thought it was funny but kind of cheesy and dumb. But the more I hear it I really enjoy the message. It's a silly song but it truly rang home to me the last couple of times I listened to it in my car. Here is why:

I think we as women have a harder time then men with becoming parents. Especially since most women do most of the chores and feel like they lose more of them selves in the process ( especially if you quit your job to become a stay at home mom! ) Not that men don't help I am just saying that the majority of changes happens to women in my opinion. Women also have such a hard time with the weight gain and things like this. It seems to be more acceptable for guys to be over weight and still be good looking. The media helps that along more then anything but isn't it true? When Cody went to Kuwait the first time he came home and had gained weight. Did I care? NO I was so excited to see him and be with him and he looked damned good to me! :) I also gained some weight while he was gone but felt like it was awful! Why is that. I probably didn't even gain as much as him either but something tells women that it is okay for the man to gain some but for you it's not okay.

This blog is gonna get a little personal for a second ( after all it is MY blog right ) When Cody and I are getting ready for bed I think he looks so sexy! haha But when he sees me and tells me I look good I think "Sure if I lost about 20 pounds!" Isn't that weird how we do this. Really I should be happy that he thinks I am sexy and that I try and be healthy! So here are the words to the song "Hot Momma" by Trace Adkins Really look for the meaning behind the song. YOu may have to read it twice but I feel like use mommies need to work on this. We ARE mommies but that doesn't mean we lost ALL of our sexy selves in the process. Just ask your husband and he will tell you how amazing he thinks you are. IN fact, I bet he thinks you are even MORE amazing now that you take care of SO much and are such good mommies to your kids. :)

Hot Mama lyrics

You're doin' all you can to get in them old jeans.
You want that body back, you had at seventeen.
Baby, don't get down; don't worry 'bout a thing.
'Cause the way you fill 'em out, hey, that's all right with me.
I don't want the girl you used to be.
An' if you ain't noticed, the kids are fast asleep,

An' you're one hot mama;
You turn me on, let's turn it up,
An' turn this room into a sauna.
One hot mama,
Oh, whaddya say, baby?
You wanna?

Well, I know sometimes you think that all you really are,
Is the woman with the kids an' the groceries in the car.
An' you worry about your hips an' you worry about your age.
Meanwhile I'm tryin' to catch the breath you take away.
Oh, an' believe me, you still do.
Baby, all I see, when I look at you,

Is one hot mama;
You turn me on, let's turn it up,
An' turn this room into a sauna.
One hot mama,
Oh, whaddya say, baby?
You wanna?

I can't imagine me lovin' someone else.
I'm a lucky man,
I think Daddy's got himself,

One hot mama;
You turn me on, let's turn it up,
An' turn this room into a sauna.
One hot mama,
Oh, whaddya say, babe?
Oh, now whaddya say, babe?
You wanna?

You're one hot mama,
Let's turn this room into a sauna, yeah.
Whaddya say, babe?
Whaddya say, babe?

Now since I am embracing my inner sexy here is a picture I had my mom take today because after eating dinner my tummy was HUGE! haha I like being pregnant and growing though. :) I was messing around with my timer last night and took this picture of myself that I REALLY like but I have to figure out how to crop a whole lot of cleavage out of it before I can post it! haha I was bending over and didn't have a bra on so what are you gonna do! They have a mind of their own.

That was a great post. I was just sitting today, playing with all that extra skin around my waist from having Ailee. Yuck. It seems like it is taking forever to shrink up. I feel like I have to tuck my flab of skin into my pants every morning. gross.
It's hard to deal with a changing body. I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes through it.
