My kid surprising me ALL the time with how smart he is. But every parent thinks there kid is smart right?! My mother in law is a Principal at an elementary school and she tells us all the time that Tyler is smarter then half of her kindergarten class because he knows his alphabet and knows what all the letters look like. Isn't that sad? I can't imagine a kid being 5 and NOT knowing that. Our neighbor for instance is 4 and she doesn't know her colors. She was over here playing one time and she pick me a yellow flower and said, "Look a pretty pink flower." I looked at her and said, "Well, this one is yellow." Then just to test her I said, "What color is my shirt?" and she said "Green." and it was blue! That didn't surprise me a whole lot because her parents pay absolutely no attention to her but it still shocked me a little bit. Not only did Tyler tell her what all of the colors were, he signed them for her! haha
So my point in writing this was because Tyler completely shocked me this morning while getting ready for church. His church shoes are too small but he wanted to wear them any ways. I had them in my hand and I said, "Do you want to wear your boots or do you want to wear these?" Normally he would say "These" and point to the shoes in my hand. Instead he looked at the shoes, pointed and said, "THOSE." I couldn't believe it! I try and repeat things back to him the way they are supposed to be said if he says something wrong or in the wrong tense so I guess it's paying off. That was my shocker for the day though. He's only 2 and a half! He's not supposed to be growing up this fast! :(

You do a really good job of posting often. I am too lazy/don't have anything exciting to write about to be able to do that. ;)
At least Tyler is picking up on the good stuff, and not the bad stuff!
