Sunday was our anniversary. It was.....not the best. I got peed on at church ( we were only there for about an hour ). Then Tyler peed all over himself during his nap ( but him and Kayla DID nap for a good two hours or so! ) Then my computer crashed! I spent like two hours backing up all my pictures that were not on my external hard drive yet. Cody then tried to help my sick lap top but we had to wait cause we needed to buy something for it. It is back up and running now....it just needed a little help. Unfortunately for me, I don't have anything on here now. No pictures, no programs...nothing. I have to down load a bunch of stuff again and put my pictures back. It will be a slow process. Figures since I was already slow putting stuff up here.
Cody leaves soon and when he is gone I always have mroe time to myself so I promise to try and get some blogs written and pictures posted so y'all can officially stalk me again.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and is having a good New Years eve. Cody and I are watching Batman Begins on Blue Ray ( he is VERY excited to be watching a Blue Ray ) and then we are going to kiss at Midnight and go to sleep. I feel so old...

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
So excited! My sister's and mom got their purses today so now I can post pictures.
Here is one picture of each and if you want to see the rest of the pictures you can go look at my other blog.
My mom's
I didn't use a pattern or anything for this one and because the fabric is so busy it didn't turn out as cute as I wanted but my mom loves blue and yellow so I am sure she likes it.
My sister Kimmie's
I used a pattern I got free off line for this one. In my other blog I will post the link for it but right now I don't feel like looking for it. I love the fabric on this one.
My sister Kristy
I LOVE this one. My sister Kristy is big on "going green" and so I used a pair of old pants for the body of the bag. I wish I could have kept this one for myself. Just so everyone knows, this one is also a free pattern I got from someone's blog. I also copied one of her bags exactly! haha I wish I could say I was as creative as her but it's not true. The only thing I did different was use only one color of fabric for the flower instead of using a bunch of different fabrics. Again I will attach the link in my other blog.
Here is a picture of Cody with his new TV and our new TV stand
Doesn't he look happy?! He hugs his new TV all the time! It's his new baby!! Happy birthday, Merry Christmas and Happy anniversary to Cody! haha

Making It
So my SIL Emily made something cute and posted it on her blog. I, of course, had to make one too because I am a crafting junkie these days. So here is my verions of what she made
I used the Texas sticky notes and then some wonderful magnets to the side. This is what I did while I was SUPPOSED to be cleaning. I get distracted easily!

Kids Say the Darndest Things
My parents had a book when I was younger called, "Kids say the darndest things" It was a funny book. I can't remember what any of it said but I do remember reading it and us all laughing. Well, my kids say and DO the darndest things!
Last week during our lesson at church, I was showing the kids pictures and then asking them who was in the picture? The first three all had Jesus in them so when I held up the 4th picture of the three black guys holding a black baby and giving her a blessing and then asked, "Who is in THIS picture?" It should NOT have surprised me to hear Tyler exclaim, "JESUS!"
He said something else recently that I am desperately trying to remember so I could write it down but nothing is coming to me. Kayla did just do something funny, although she doesn't talk yet. She is the BIGGEST fatty! And by fatty, I mean she eats anything and everything. She is as skinny as can be though. She KNOWS if you have food and will crawl over to you and beg like a dog. It's hysterical, yet really annoying. Last night we went and got ice cream as part of our Family Home Evening and she stood right at Daddy's legs and would scream pretty much every time he gave HIMSELF a bite of ice cream and not her one. Also while in Utah we went to a eat at a Mexican food place. I was feeding her pears and they were cut up WAY to big for her so I was trying to cut them up smaller. She was getting impatient so I grabbed one of my black beans, smashed it on my finger and shoved it in her mouth. Yeah, she even TOUCH the pears after that! She just wanted to black beans.
My sister was eating some ice cream and Kayla crawled on over to her and let Aunt Kristy feed her ice cream until it was all gone. Then my dad got some ice cream and she through over Aunt Kristy for some "grandpa" time. When his was gone, she was done with him too. Then she noticed Aunt Kristy was getting something out of the Kitchen and she proceeded to watch her walk over to the couch with a soda and she crawled over to her as fast as she could! haha She doesn't get soda silly girl!
Any ways, juts now she had green beans, mac and cheese and a cookie for lunch. She had chocolate on her face so I took her to the sink, put water on my hands and tried to wipe her face off with the water. She made it very difficult because she was trying to SUCK the water off of my hands! LITTLE FATTY I SWEAR!
On a side note, do you have kids who are 3 or 4 and don't know how to read? DO you have a computer? Do you have internet? If so, try going to www.starfall.com and checking it out. My bestie Sarah found the web site and her daughter who is 4 months YOUNGER then Tyler has already taught herself to read! Now she is one smart cookie but I think any kid can figure it out if they spent a little bit of time on it a couple of times a week. Tyler has gotten to the stage where he doens't nap because then he can't sleep at night. But he drives me NUTS when he is up ALL day and I don't get my break. Plus, I always have a million things I wanted to do during that nap time. So I have started letting him use my lap top to try out starfall.com and he is doing great! He now knows several words he didn't know before and is starting to recognize them in all sorts of places like the super market. It is so nice to see him improving. I think the poor kid takes after his mom and is a little dyslexic. He mixes the beginning of the word up with the last part of the word and things like that. Here are some pictures of him writing on his chalk board. We didn't help him at ALL
his name
CAT which we didn't teach him, he learn the web site
and some slllllllight sucking up...
Nana! And he was so proud to have done it by himself!

A Christmas Miracle!
Okay it was probably more of a Thanksgiving miracle but I just found out about it. Our neighbor who was in the motor cycle accident is okay! We have been wanting to call his wife but she is never home and we didn't want to bug her. Cody's phone started ringing about an hour ago and I saw the caller ID said his name. I figured it was his wife calling with an update. I didn't get the phone to Cody in time so he called his number back and HE answered. I could hear him talking to Cody on the other end and he sounded completely normal. Cody is going to go visit him sometime this week. How exciting! I am so thrilled for his family. I didn't mention this in the last post but right before his accident one of his sister in laws died and then a couple of days later his brother actually killed himself RIGHT after he left his house. It had already been a rough week or so for them and then a week or two later he had his accident. SO glad it is turning out to be okay. So just remember that prayers do work and sometimes doctors advice isn't always the right decision.
Early Merry Christmas everyone!

Getting Some Air
I have so many pictures from Utah that aren't shrunk yet so every time I go to write a blog I remember I only have half the pictures shrunk and say forget it. Today I am just going to write one and leave out some pictures for now. My parents have a trampoline in the back yard. The kids LOVE it. For the most part the grown ups do to because the kids get worn out quick. Any ways. I got a LOT of pictures on the trampoline this trip. Here are the ones I got shrunk. Lots of Tyler, Bradlie ( my brothers girl ) and Kayla. Kayla LOVED the trampoline. In fact, she actually tried to jump on it when you would stand her up. It was way cute.
Ain't she a cutie pie! Check out when she got upset at someone and started crying
Check out those big tears. I love her mom smiling about it. So cute. Here are some more of Bradlie jumping
Here is Tyler getting some air
and here are some family group pictures on the trampoline
grandparents with all the grandkids.
Here are the kids with their kids!
Thats all for today folks! Hopefully I can get more up later

We had some snow! It was so fun. Tyler was making me laugh because he didn't realize snow was going to be cold! haha He wanted to play in it SO bad but didn't understand why his pants were wet and so forth. We got some good pictures.
I tried to get a cute picture of the two kids in the snow....yeah it didn't happen. Kayla got really cold and then just started screaming. But I did get this one which makes me laugh every time I look at it! I love the look on Kayla's face!
This one turned out cute and ALMOST made it on the Christmas card.
This collage of Tyler makes me smile. I love the progression of excitement to, "Holy cow it's cold!" Sorry I am still be so slow to post stuff but I will try and get some small blogs like this up as I go throughout the next couple of days.

I am just not in the mood yet. I have some blogs in my head and I just have to make the time to do it.

Love Thy Neighbor
We have all heard the phrase "Love Thy Neighbor" and we all know we should but sometimes it's hard to do. When we first moved here the house next door was empty. Shortly after, we got new neighbors. We thought they were kind of strange and the daughters drove us a little nuts! They always had their friends over and since there was no side fence on our front yard, they were always in our yard and climbing up our tree. It was annoying. The guy who lived next door was strange too. We couldn't figure him out. One time he was out washing his car with the radio so loud I could hear every word of it INSIDE my house. The first couple of songs were rap songs and I just kept thinking, "Um, your 40, not 14!" Then the rap music turned into a country song which made me laugh. What a strange guy! Then one day Cody had the hood popped on our car and after about a year of them living next door and us never even saying hello, he came over!
"Do you need help with your car?" He asked. Cody had already called triple A. The battery had died and we just needed a jump. They ended up talking for 30 minutes or so and that's how it started. It wasn't constant at first but after another year or so of coming over and saying hi every once in a while ( and his daughters still driving me nuts ) they moved. We were glad to have the daughters off of our grass and out of our tree. We were also glad he only moved one house away! haha That way he was still around to help out. THEN his niece moved in next door and the real trouble began, but also our friendship really began to bloom. Cody always needed help with things around the house and Dale was always willing to help. If he himself didn't know how to do it, then he knew someone who did and would call and get them to come over for us. When Cody was leaving to go to Iraq for 6 months and Tyler and I were going to stay in Utah, he offered to keep the grass mowed for us. Then about 3 days before I was leaving for Utah, our roof started to leak. Dale called over a couple different people he knows who do roofs and then offered to help out and make sure it got done and got done right AFTER I left. He even drove an hour away and picked up all the supplies to save us some money. What a guy.
When we got back from Utah we decided to re-do our back porch. He called over some guys who gave us a bid and then they started. They knocked out our entire back wall, left and never came back. So Dale called MORE people and got a crew of guys to come over and take over, including himself. After it was built, he came over and painted the inside of the porch and helped Cody put in the lights. He was over a LOT and his wife came over a couple of times too. Dale became like one of our family in a way.
While we were in Utah and Cody was in Kentucky this past month, Dale was riding his motorcycle without a helmet and got hit. He fell back and smacked the back of his head on the pavement. At first it seemed like he had a couple of broken bones and some head trauma. Then a day or two later they noticed he had some internal bleeding in his head and lungs. Last we heard was that he was brain dead. We are very sadden by this. We are going to miss him very much.
There have been a couple of times we were talking about something that we needed help with and I think Cody and I were both thinking the same thing, "Dale would help if he were here." I keep thinking about his wife and kids. His girls are both in high school. I can't imagine what it's like for them or his wife. We are going to miss our neighbor so much. I hope he knows how much he was appreciated and how we thought of him as part of them family. I hope we were as good of a neighbor to him and he was to us! We love you and will miss you greatly Dale! To everyone else who knows someone who rides a motorcycle make sure they wear their helmet! There is NO REASON to NOT wear one. If he had he would probably still be here.

It's ALIVE!
We are back from Utah but were home only for 12 hours or so when Cody's parents came to visit. That made it so there was still no time to blog. Not to mention I still have a bunch of pictures to go through and edit. I did do about half of them but just so you know I had over 800 pictures when I got home and I had already gone through and erased some of the blurry ones at my moms house! Here are a couple of pictures just for fun...
