Our Memorial Day

We had a great memorial day!  It was nice and relaxing.  I had it in my head that I NEEDED to make me a new purse for our Disneyland trip.  THEN, I realized I was out of interfacing.  BOOOOOO  Well, Joann's has a great sale on Memorial day ( or pretty much any holiday for that matter ) and I begged Cody to take me.  Cody needed to be back early enough to start smoking!  Yup, you heard me right.  Cody was going to smoke for the very first time.  His meat of choice was some brisket.  He was VERY excited.  We got up early, dressed us and the kids and headed out the door.  Cody dropped me off at JoAnn's at around 9:05.  It opened at 9 so I was worried because it was a sale it would be packed!  No such thing.  In fact, it was the least amount of people I had ever seen there.

While I shopped around, Cody took the kids to Target.  We have been tired of the whining and begging for toys that goes on in our house every time Tyler see's something on TV he wants ( which is everything! )  We finally told him that he needed to earn some money and buy a toy by himself.  Daddy made a deal with him that if he helped daddy take out the recycling every night ( into the garage and where it properly goes ) and then help him take it down to the recycling center once or twice a month, he could have HALF of the money.  Tyler scored because we hadn't taken the recycling in 2 months so they went and got 44 dollars!  Tyler got to have half.  He was VERY anxious to get to target and buy a power rangers toy!  While they were there Cody let Kayla pick something out.  She picked out a Dora fishing game.  But instead of fish it was pink, purple and white heart shaped diamonds.  Thanks Dora.  It was on sale and let me tell you it was on and running pretty much ALLLLL day.  Here are some pictures of her playing her new game

She was lining them all up by color!  She LOVES her game.

This is what mommy got at JoAnns.

I got 5 patterns, two things of elastic, a bow, a bunch of really pretty, sparkly buttons for my etsy shop, some fat quarters, some interfacing and a thing of parchment paper.  My receipt said I spent 29 something and saved 96 bucks!  Yeah, I scored too!  mostly because the patterns were 5 for 5 and normally they were 15 or 16 bucks a piece.  Also the buttons I bought were 50 percent off and some of them were ten bucks.  Yikes!

On to Cody...

Overall the meat was super yummy!  We were both happy with the results.  Overall we all had a great day!  The kids and I jumped on the trampoline and then they had popsicles.

It was a nice, relaxing day.  Thank you for those who serve our country.  Our know many who do so and I thank you for helping to keep safe and free!

I HATE IT!

I REALLY hate being beinh on here.  I am HOPING to get a post a day up for a next little bit.  I never finished our Utah trip and now we went to Disneyland for 3 days!  I took lots of pictures so we shall see if I can get all of that done.  Something is going to have to get neglected but I am going to try REALLY hard to be sure it isn't THIS blog again!  :)  Until then stay tuned...

Randomness

I have been trying to edit and shrink pictures so I can put up some more Utah post.  I have been failing miserably at doing so.  Last night I got a couple random pictures edited I wanted to post.

I love all of these pictures.  They were all taken before we left for Utah.  The first was here playing behind the couch.  She loves the little space between there and the wall.

Second picture is her in her tutu I made her.

The third is here holding a balloon, wearing her Easter hat watching TV.  I just thought she looked so cute!

Here are some Utah ones from our Utah trip a month ago NOT the Easter trip

I love these of her playing peek a boo because I have many pictures of Tyler at this same age playing peek a boo in this tree house.

And this is her eating her ring pop on the drive home. It was a LOOOOOONG drive home.  We forgot about Sunday going home traffic from Las Vegas and out 5 hour drive took 8 or 9 hours.

And since there is no rhyme or reason to the pictures I am posting, here are some from just two days ago!    Cody got a new grill and smoker.  He is SUPER excited and quite frankly, so am I!  There are a number of reasons but mailing because this changes things for our little family.  It means outside more and that is always a good thing.  Here is Cody using his grill for the first time.

It is monstrous!

Here is what Kayla had.  She kept asking me for some red and I didn't get it.  Then I realized she meant ketchup!

And this is what we had. Sorry the picture is blurry but it's pork  chops and broccoli and cauliflower.

And her are some pictures of Kayla blowing bubbles while daddy grilled.

HOPEFULLY this week I will get some of the Utah pictures fixed.  We are taking the end of the week off to take the kids to Disneyland.  They don't even know yet.  Tyler just knows we are going somewhere fun!  :)

EASTER

It started out in our house.  I woke both of the kids up and they were very excited to see their Easter baskets.

Tyler had been wanting one of these spin fighters SO bad!

Kayla got some new umberwears ( as she calls them )  We haven't tried them out yet.

She also got a Dora hat and a microphone

We then packed up the car and headed for Utah.  Daddy had to stay home but we talked to him on the phone every night before we went to bed.  We got to Grandma and Grandpa's house in St. George and it was sunny and kinda hot out side.  We had dinner and then the kids had an Easter egg hunt.  The next ten or so pictures are from Kim's camera, not mine.

 "Look what I got!"

This was Scott and Tyler trying to get the eggs from Noah's pocket!  Noah hid those eggs REALLY well!

Check out those baby blues!

Ender and Jacob after the egg hunt getting ready to die Easter eggs.

Here is where Scott knocked down mom's curtain and was trying ti fix it!  I think this picture makes him look like a drunk! haha  It's the crazy look in his eyes and the cup in his hand.

And now watching some movies on grandma's bed together as cousin

They were either fighting or laughing!  haha

And this is from the next day right after we did our cousin picture that actually turned out really cute!  This was day one of our trip....so hopefully one of these days I will get some more post up.  Hope everyone else had a great Easter too!  Ours was very nice.  I forgot to mention that by the time we were about to do the easter egg hunt, it got really windy and cold out side.  Then I realized I had forgotten to pack the kids tooth brushes and so I got my purse and headed out the door to go buy some.  As soon as I set foot outside of the house it started sprinkling.  By the time I hit the store it was raining pretty good.  I ran into the store grabbed some stuff and talked to Cody on the phone for a minute.  I got in line and as the lady was putting my groceries in a bag, I realized NO TOOTH BRUSHES!  BOOOOOOO  So I decided to put these groceries in the car and then come back in and get the tooth brushes.  I look outside and it's POURING!  DOH!  By the time I ran to the car, ran back inside and then went out to the car again I was soaked.  I guess that's what I get for spending money not only on a Sunday but on EASTER!  :)

Catch Up

Here are some pictures from a month or so ago that I never posted.  Thought if I waited any longer they would never get posted for y'all to enjoy!

Here is Kayla sitting in her laundry basket watching TV.  HAHA  I think this is so funny.

This was Kayla crying because SHE wanted to use my camera and I told her no.  She is a funny girl.  VERY dramatic

This was taken about 30 seconds later and notice how she is no longer crying and now watching TV.

And here is my Tyler sporting the tie he asked me to make him.  It turned out a little small which sucks because it toke forever to make.

Hopefully in a day or two I'll get some pictures up from our Utah trip.  That's right, we had another one.
