Legoland Fun

When we found out we were moving to Abilene Texas was knew we needed to do something fun before we left.  We had two choices ( in our opinion )  Disneyland or Lego land.  We have taken the kids to Disneyland once and it was great, however it is so stinking expensive.  Tyler is obsessed with Lego's so we thought maybe that would be a better choice.  Especially since it was close to the temple and I hadn't been there in like 9 years and we could also see the Burton's.  So we chose lego land.  We did not however, tell the kids.  We just told them we were doing something fun.  It was fun.  Everything expect when the kid RIGHT in front of us in one of the line's threw up….that was not so much fun but everything else was good.  Here are a couple of pictures from our trip.

Tyler always tells Daddy that he crossed over the line in the crosswalk when we are driving.  He likes to tell Papa when he is speeding too!  So we were anxious to see if this little dude screwed up at all while driving.  Check out what I caught on camera!  HE TOTALLY WENT OVER THE LINE!  haha  Daddy really rubbed that one in...

Then he proceeded to drive on the wrong side of the street…..good times

They totally have Princesses in Lego Land for the girls.  This particular princess has GOT to have a headache by the end of the day with the way that she smiles.  Worst. Princess. Smile. Ever!  Her face was like that the whole time too!  It was actually pretty funny.

We decided to go on a water ride and last minute Kayla had to pee so her and I ran to the bathroom.  I'm glad because I think she would have freaked out and then been freezing cold after.  Tyler freaked out a little but had so much fun after!

We also we to their aquarium.  I didn't take many pictures there.  Kayla wasn't too sure about the shark behind here!  haha

After this we went to see Jared and family at the outlet's in Carlsbad.  We had dinner with them at Ruby's.  

It was good times!  We spent the night in La Jolla and went to the beach and the Temple the next day.  Pictures to come another time.

Tyler and I had a little photo shoot when he turned 8!  I wanted to do a special one since he got baptized.  Here is what we got.

Tyler Turns Eight

My handsome dude turned eight last month.  I can't even believe he is that old already.  I have been going through baby pictures lately looking for some good ones for a photo wall at my house.  I can't believe the time has gone by so fast.  

                              This is Tyler's last day as a 7 year old!

Tyler got baptized on December 7th in Gatesville Texas.  It was really bad weather and it took us 5 hours to drive to Copperas Cove where we were saying the night at a hotel the night before.  The roads were completely ice.  I took some pictures will my cell phone that I'll try and get posted later.  But it was crazy.  My poor parents had driven here from Utah and then had to make that awful drive too because our car isn't big enough for all of us.  The baptism was nice though.  Tyler got dunked twice because his knee came up the first time.  :-)  We had cookies afterwards and the cousin had fun playing together.  Then we went to El Tapatio ( our favorite ) and the kids ate at their own table.  They had so much fun.  It was hard to tell them we had to go but we knew it was going to take forever to get home again.  This time it took even a little longer.  It was awful.  Here are some pictures from the baptism.

Amandalyn came for the baptism by herself with her two boys and was ready to pop!  She went to the hospital the very next day to have her baby!

Here is outside of our house right before we left to start driving.  See that white stuff….looks like snow doesn't it.  NOPE!

This was us driving.  This was solid ice even thought it looks like soft fluffy snow.  It was horrible to drive on and very crazy!

  And then we got back on the road to head home.  Roads were slightly melted.

unfortunately we got stuck behind a semi who thought it necessary to go between 15 MPH and 30 MPH for about 2 hours.  It was HORRIBLE!  It ended up taking us slightly longer to drive the second day and we were actually closer to Abliene then we where the day before.  Booooooo Glad it is over with.
