Randomness

I have been trying to edit and shrink pictures so I can put up some more Utah post.  I have been failing miserably at doing so.  Last night I got a couple random pictures edited I wanted to post.

I love all of these pictures.  They were all taken before we left for Utah.  The first was here playing behind the couch.  She loves the little space between there and the wall.

Second picture is her in her tutu I made her.

The third is here holding a balloon, wearing her Easter hat watching TV.  I just thought she looked so cute!

I love these of her playing peek a boo because I have many pictures of Tyler at this same age playing peek a boo in this tree house.

And this is her eating her ring pop on the drive home. It was a LOOOOOONG drive home.  We forgot about Sunday going home traffic from Las Vegas and out 5 hour drive took 8 or 9 hours.

And since there is no rhyme or reason to the pictures I am posting, here are some from just two days ago!    Cody got a new grill and smoker.  He is SUPER excited and quite frankly, so am I!  There are a number of reasons but mailing because this changes things for our little family.  It means outside more and that is always a good thing.  Here is Cody using his grill for the first time.

It is monstrous!

Here is what Kayla had.  She kept asking me for some red and I didn't get it.  Then I realized she meant ketchup!

And this is what we had. Sorry the picture is blurry but it's pork  chops and broccoli and cauliflower.

HOPEFULLY this week I will get some of the Utah pictures fixed.  We are taking the end of the week off to take the kids to Disneyland.  They don't even know yet.  Tyler just knows we are going somewhere fun!  :)

EASTER

It started out in our house.  I woke both of the kids up and they were very excited to see their Easter baskets.

Tyler had been wanting one of these spin fighters SO bad!

Kayla got some new umberwears ( as she calls them )  We haven't tried them out yet.

She also got a Dora hat and a microphone

We then packed up the car and headed for Utah.  Daddy had to stay home but we talked to him on the phone every night before we went to bed.  We got to Grandma and Grandpa's house in St. George and it was sunny and kinda hot out side.  We had dinner and then the kids had an Easter egg hunt.  The next ten or so pictures are from Kim's camera, not mine.

And this is from the next day right after we did our cousin picture that actually turned out really cute!  This was day one of our trip....so hopefully one of these days I will get some more post up.  Hope everyone else had a great Easter too!  Ours was very nice.  I forgot to mention that by the time we were about to do the easter egg hunt, it got really windy and cold out side.  Then I realized I had forgotten to pack the kids tooth brushes and so I got my purse and headed out the door to go buy some.  As soon as I set foot outside of the house it started sprinkling.  By the time I hit the store it was raining pretty good.  I ran into the store grabbed some stuff and talked to Cody on the phone for a minute.  I got in line and as the lady was putting my groceries in a bag, I realized NO TOOTH BRUSHES!  BOOOOOOO  So I decided to put these groceries in the car and then come back in and get the tooth brushes.  I look outside and it's POURING!  DOH!  By the time I ran to the car, ran back inside and then went out to the car again I was soaked.  I guess that's what I get for spending money not only on a Sunday but on EASTER!  :)

Catch Up

Here are some pictures from a month or so ago that I never posted.  Thought if I waited any longer they would never get posted for y'all to enjoy!

This was Kayla crying because SHE wanted to use my camera and I told her no.  She is a funny girl.  VERY dramatic

Play Ground Fun

When we go to Papa and Nana's house in Cedar City, Tyler always has to go across the street the the play ground.  He loves that play ground.  This last trip when we got there it was SO windy!  Kayla was having a ball on the swings!

St. George Dirt

What is it about red dirt that makes it more desirable?  All of the kids when they get to grandma's house in St. George Utah want to rub their hands in the dirt.  Kayla got outside and couldn't wait to run her hands in it.  And her legs and whatever else she could.

She had a ball! Oh and by the way she STILL has red on her socks when I take them off of her feet from her shoes getting dirt in them and this was almost 2 weeks ago!  Gotta love the red dirt!!!

A Quick Conversation

I caught the glimps of a quick conversation that I am SO glad I didn't miss.  Yesterday we were having an okay day.  A little bit of yelling ( on my part and Tyler's ) but it was a fairly normal day.  NOt too crazy and not to wonderful.  The kids don't play together.  Kayla constantly tries to play with Tyler and he yells at her, rips things out of her hands and tells he NO!  It's very frustrating and annoying.  I constantly have to tell him he is NOT in charge and he can NOT tell Kayla no.  It goes in one ear and out the other.

Yesterday however, they were playing together!  Not only were they playing together but they were having SO much fun!  Kayla was chasing Tyler and he'd squeal and shriek and say "No don't get me" and she'd growl and laugh while she chased him all over the living room.  It was so nice to hear and see.  Immidately after this it was nap time.  We brushed teeth and then were sitting on Tyler's bed reading a story.  Kayla crawled on the bed with us and kissed TYler on the arm and said, "You're my best friend"  It melted my heart because no one provoked it and she is only TWO!  It amazed me that she even understood what she was saying and doing.  Then I said, "Tyler did you hear that?  Kayla said you are her best friend."  To which he replied.  "awwwww Thank you Kayla.  I love you."  Then he paused and said, "Now you say that you love me"  and she said, "I love you too Tyty!"  It totally melted my heart.  Then Tyler went even further to say. "Mom, I don't even care if she plays with all of my toys now!"  I guess it melted his heart too.

Too bad he didn't remember that today because I can't get him to give her a break!  Oh well....it was good the whole 5 minutes it lasted and gave me a wonderful memory it keep with me always.
